Forever is changing itemization alongside all the new content, not just adding a handful of higher-stat items on top of the existing gear tables. Dungeon drops are being pushed up to at least rare quality, boss loot tables across the new instances are being reworked, and trinkets in particular are being built around situational effects instead of plain stat sticks. That means the Best in Slot lists Classic veterans already know should not be assumed to carry over unchanged. A Gearing Boost is built around whatever your character is actually missing, sourced from wherever that piece actually comes from.

Chasing one item through repeated random drops, or clearing five different factions for one trinket each, is the part of gearing most players want to skip. A Gearing order is scoped to a target instead of a grind: tell us the slot, the set, or the item level you are gearing toward, and the run is built around getting you there.

Gear sources a WoW Forever Gearing order can cover:

• Pre-raid sets - the dungeon and quest pieces that get a character ready to walk into The Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, or Onyxia's Lair without failing the gear check.
• Dungeon drops - repeat clears of one instance targeting one specific weapon, trinket, or armor slot rather than a single first clear.
• Raid gear - tier pieces, epic weapons, and trinkets pulled from the loot pools of Forever's three level 60 raids.
• Crafted gear - materials gathered and the item crafted once your professions are far enough along, resistance sets included.
• Reputation and quest rewards - the pieces that never drop from a boss at all, earned instead through faction standing or a quest chain.
• Custom targets - one slot, one full pre-raid kit, or an item level threshold set by you rather than by a fixed list.

Because Forever's itemization is still being finalized, some of what counts as best in slot for a given class or spec will only become clear once the beta and then live servers are further along. We keep gearing targets updated as boss loot tables, trinket effects, and crafted recipes get confirmed, rather than pricing orders against Classic-era item assumptions that may no longer apply.

Loot and crafting still follow the game's own drop rates and material costs, so no order can promise one specific item off one specific attempt. What a Gearing Boost guarantees is that every applicable kill, turn-in, or craft happens toward your target, which is what puts the item within reach in the first place.
