Skinning Leveling
WoW Forever uses the Classic-style Skinning progression up to 300 skill. As your skill increases, you can skin progressively higher-level creatures and collect better types of leather, hides, and scales.

Leather, Hides and Scales
Skinning provides raw materials used primarily by Leatherworking. Depending on the creatures being skinned, you can obtain leather, hides, scales, and other valuable materials. These can either be used for your own crafting or sold to other players.

Skinning and Leatherworking

Skinning for Gold
Skinning can also be used as a straightforward gold-making profession. Leather and scales can be sold directly through the Auction House, allowing you to turn kills from normal questing, farming, and dungeon runs into additional income. The value of individual materials will depend on supply and demand in the current Forever economy.
High-Level Skinning
Although the standard Skinning skill reaches 300, some high-level creatures require additional Skinning skill. Current Classic-style data includes The Beast and certain Molten Core creatures at 310, while Onyxia and some other endgame targets require 315. Bonus skill can come from items such as the Skinning enchant, Finkle's Skinner, or Zulian Slicer.
